Velanor is an independent design and marketing studio with active client base in London and Oslo. We build custom websites, brand identity and Meta ads for small and mid-sized businesses — at fixed price. No template. No retainer. You own everything.
What we believe in
Most small businesses face two bad options: a free DIY template that makes you look like everyone else, or an agency that charges £15k+ and keeps control of your accounts after delivery.
We believe there's a better path: hand-crafted design and marketing, delivered quickly, at fixed price, where you own everything from day one. Built for small and mid-sized businesses that want to look like them — not like a purchased template.
How we work
Four principles guide everything we do:
- Fixed price — you know what it costs before we start. No surprise invoices.
- You own everything — domain, code, all accounts (Google, Facebook, payment) registered in your name from day one. Take the work anywhere afterward.
- Direct contact — no account managers. You speak to the person who designs and builds your site.
- Applied research — we design using eye-tracking studies, buying psychology, and strict Core Web Vitals budgets. Not tricks — just method.
What we do (and don't do)
We do: web design and development, branding and logo design, Meta ads (Facebook and Instagram), local SEO and Google Business Profile strategy, Shopify development, copywriting.
We don't do: TV advertising, large campaign productions, PR, extensive enterprise SEO, or projects requiring 12-person teams. For those we recommend agencies built for it.
Our technical approach
We use static HTML, modern frameworks (Astro, Next.js, Shopify Hydrogen), edge CDN and strict Core Web Vitals targets. Every Velanor delivery should score 95+ on Lighthouse mobile — because speed is conversion. Every 100 ms of extra wait time costs 1–2 % in conversion (Google research).
We add full schema.org markup on everything we ship (Organization, LocalBusiness, FAQPage, Service, Article), proper sitemap and robots configuration, and hreflang where relevant. Technical SEO foundation most agencies skip — but the foundation that determines whether a site actually ranks.
Where we are
We have client base and team in London and are based in Oslo. London-based projects get in-person kickoffs and the same fixed-price model. Oslo / Norwegian projects are delivered remotely across Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger and beyond.
